The Bourne Legacy 2012

It’s no secret that the Bourne Trilogy is my favourite movie series so far.  Probably about 63% because of the car chases, man hunts, and phonebook fight scenes and 37% because Jason Bourne is my imaginary boyfriend.  The acting is fantastic (and not just by Matt Damon, but the entire cast), the action is thrilling, and the storyline is interesting – while not completely probable, it’s believable, which is good enough for me.   I haven’t read the book series by Robert Ludlum, but I feel like now I don’t need to because I’d forever compare them to the movies that I love so much.

A fourth novel, by Eric Van Lustbader based on the original stories, will now join the first three as a part of the series.  Or not.  Details are so unclear right now, but Tony Gilroy, the director and screenwriter, has noted that this will be “a stand-alone project.”
“The easiest way to think of it is an expansion or a reveal,” Gilroy added. “Jason Bourne will not be in this film, but he’s very much alive. What happened in the first three films is the trigger for what happens. I’m building a legend and an environment and a wider conspiracy… the world we’re making enhances and advances and invites Jason Bourne’s return [down the road].”
So…what I’m hearing here is Matt Damon will not be in this movie.  I’m not so sure I’m cool with this.  You can’t have Indiana Jones without Harrison Ford.  Back To The Future without Michael J. Fox would have been all wrong.  And I don’t think we’ll see a Pirates Of The Caribbean without Johnny Depp.  It would all be so weird.  I feel the same way about the Bourne movies.  Matt Damon is Jason Bourne, and while we’ve been promised Matt isn’t being replaced, that this movie will have a whole new hero, it’s still called The Bourne Legacy.

I think I might be jumping the gun on my judging judginess.  It may turn out to be a very good addition to the series.  I don’t know.  Like I said, I don’t have the advantage of reading the Van Lustbader book, but I do know that Jason Bourne is actually in it.  Matt Damon has said he won’t return as Jason Bourne without the series’ original director, Paul Greengrass.  And so without Mr. Greengrass OR Matt Damon OR the lead character in the novel from which the movie will be based, what’s left?  Do we have a Bourne movie or not?

Here’s what I do know about the movie:
Release Date: August 3, 2012

Screenwriter: Tony Gilroy
Starring: Not Available
Genre: Action, Adventure, Thriller
MPAA Rating: Not Available
Official Website: Not Available

Movie Poster: Not Available
Production Stills: Not Available
So, really nothing.  A release date, but other than that, I know nothing.  Universal Pictures knows nothing.  No one knows anything, but I still don’t like it.  I do, however, challenge Mr. Gilroy to prove me wrong.  Prove to me that we don’t need Jason Bourne in a Bourne movie.  I’ll still watch it, if only to tsk tsk and say I told you so.
Do we need Matt?  Do we need Jason?  I mean, I do, but does the series need Bourne to remain Bournesque?

Volkswagen Touareg R-Line Sport

Volkswagen Touareg shoppers now have one more box to tick on the options list as the German automaker has released the third and final R-Line package for the luxury SUV model, aptly called 'Exterior'. As its name suggests, the new package gives the Touareg a more aggressive appearance on the outside. It includes a bodykit with a front apron, chunky side skirts, a bespoke roof spoiler and a rear apron that incorporates a diffuser in a matte black finish with openings for the chrome tail pipes.
The exterior styling kit can be combined with the two other available packages, and in particular the standard R-Line, which includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a sports suspension, stainless steel door sill plates, a sports steering wheel with decorative inserts in piano black, stainless steel pedals and aluminum trim on the dashboard, and the R-Line Plus that adds sports seats in a two-tone leather finish.
The R-Line Exterior package is available on all models except the Hybrid, and in true VW-fashion, pricing depends on the engine option with the kit costing (in Germany) €1,840 when ordered on the V8 TDI and €2,200 on the V6 petrol model.

Oopsss...Ford-150 Steps Over Ferrari 458 Italia

The owner of a brand new Ferrari 458 Italia with some 500 miles on the odometer in Brandon Florida received a quick lesson on the disadvantages of a low slung sports car in the land of pickup trucks and SUVs when a Ford F-150 ran over its hood. We don't know if the F-150 driver mistook Maranello's creation for a red speed bump or if the Ferrari owner questioned Ford's 'Built Tough' slogan, but something tells us this video is going to become a hit. You can watch the clip after the break.

Dodge Super Bee 1968-1971

Dodge Super Bee: 1968-1971
The Super Bee form Dodge was a limited edition muscle car produced in 1968-1971 period.  The original Super Bee was based on Dodge Coronet which was Dodge’s low-priced muscle car [±$3.000] familiar to Plymouth Road Runner. After the Road Runners success Dodge devision designer were assigned to create an identity name for Dodge -  the Bee was born. It had its own customized Scat Pack logo with Bee which gave the touch for the car. The first unit was based on 1968 Coronet Convertible.
The Dodge Coronet Super Bee engine option was solid: 383 Magnum [6.3 liter Big Block, 335 HP], 426 Hemi [7 liter, 425 HP] and 440 [7.2 liter Hemi, 390 HP] cubic V8s. The car had heavy duty suspension, 4-speed manual transmission, high performance tires. Coronet came only as 2-door pillared coupe during the first production run in 1968. The hardtop version joined the Bee family in 1969 – it had optional twin-scooped hood version [aka, the Ramcharger] which was seriously functional and became very popular. The 440 6-barrel option was available in 1969.
1970 Super Bee faced some changes: new front end, bucket seats, Hurst shifter [on 4-speed manuals], twin-looped front bumper [aka, bumble bee wings] which wasn’t popular among buyers and made the sales go down. Bur ironically, this feature is very popular nowadays.
The 1971 Super Bee was moved to the Charger nameplate and got its only smal block 340 4-bbl engine [5.6 liter V8, 275 HP], because 1971 Coronet was only available in sedan and station wagon bodies.
After almost 40 years the Super Bee was revived for the . It was based on limited edition  “Detonator Yellow” STR8 that had 425 HP 6.1 liter Hemi engine. There were 1000 Yellow [year 2007], 1000 B5 Blue [2008] and 425 Hemi Orange [2009] Super Bees produced.
