BGR has been drip feeding details of the 2011 BlackBerry phone line-up over the last couple of days, and the latest handset to get detailed is the third instalment of RIM's touchscreen king - the BlackBerry Storm 3.
The Storm 3 boasts an impressive spec sheet with a 1.2GHz processor tucked away behind the 3.7-inch, 800x480, touchscreen capacitive display.
Like the other BlackBerry 2011 phones that we've already reported on, it's got Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Tri-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity, although there's no mention of any NFC capabilities.
It does, however, have a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, an 8GB eMMC to store apps and data, 512MB of RAM, a microSD slot, a magnetometer, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 2.4GHz b/g/n and 5GHz a/n Wi-Fi and UMA, a 3G mobile hotspot function and an optical trackpad.
Of course, it also rocks the latest BlackBerry OS version - 6.1.
It's coming in September and there will be "two or possibly three versions globally".
