Toyota Yaris 2012

Toyota is currently working on a replacement for its Yaris compact car, which is expected to enter the market towards the end of the year and has been spied here for the first time in prototype form. The new hatchback will go on sale as the 2012 Toyota Yaris, both in three- and five-door trims.

A new Yaris sedan is also expected to join the lineup shortly after the initial launch and eventually we may see a brand new hybrid variant, which we got a preview of in the form Yaris HSD concept car at the recent 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Designed as a direct rival for the Honda Fit Hybrid, a hybrid version of the Yaris is in keeping with Toyota’s commitment to offer a full hybrid lineup by 2020.

Trailer for LARP Comedy 'Knights of Badassdom'

Knights of Badassdom
"Thou has been recruited to fight at the epic battle!" One of our favorite Comic-Con panels yesterday was for an upcoming indie comedy called Knights of Badassdom about a group of LARPers (Live Action Role Players) who inadvertently summon a deadly succubus during the middle of a big fantasy battle and must fight her for real. The cast includes Ryan Kwanten, Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage, Summer Glau, Steve Zahn, Community's Danny Pudi and Margarita Levieva. Even if you think LARPing is lame, I'm sure you'll think this looks awesome, it just looks funny as hell and entertaining as—well—hell, too. Enjoy!
Watch the first official trailer for Joe Lynch's Knights of Badassdom via YouTube:
Live-action role players conjure up a succubus from hell by mistake and must deal with the consequences.
Knights of Badassdom is directed by up-and-coming American indie filmmaker Joe Lynch (@TheJoeLynch on Twitter), who previously has only directed Wrong Turn 2: Dead End. The screenplay was written by first-time screenwriters Matt Wall & Kevin Dreyfuss. IndieVest Pictures developed the film, but as far as we know, it doesn't have an actual distributor or release date yet. For more information or to follow for updates, visit the official Facebook or Twitter. You can read our coverage of the Comic-Con panel here. Look good?

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series

Well, it was no big secret (not after some tell-tales spilled the beans facing the Germans’ wrath) that Mercedes-Benz was planning to unveil the Black Series edition of its C63 AMG Coupe during the German Grand Prix at Nürburgring.

Now the company has gone ahead as planned and revealed the C63 AMG Coupe’s hardcore sibling, the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. The most potent version of the C-Class Coupe does not stray away from the successful formula of the models that carried the Black Series tag before it.

The Black Series is powered by the "regular" C63 Coupe's naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 but thanks to AMG’s modifications that include forged pistons, conrods and crankshaft, a 50% bigger oil cooler and a new ECU, it churns out 517HP (60HP more than the standard model) and, more importantly, 620 Nm (457 lb-ft)of tarmac-tearing torque.
All this power is channeled to the 19-inch rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift transmission. The gearbox has four modes and its fastest gear change time, in Sport or Manual, is just 100 milliseconds. Performance is, of course, exceptional: the C63 AMG Black Series accelerates from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.2 seconds.
The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series has a standard limited-slip differential. The novelty is that it’s electronically controlled and linked to the ESP stability control system, which itself has three settings, and unusually for a Mercedes, in its sportiest one is completely deactivated.
AMG’s engineers widened the front and rear tracks by 40 mm and 70 mm respectively, and also fitted stiffer anti-roll bars along with an adjustable coil-over sports suspension. The braking system comprises of 390 mm front and 360 mm rear discs, with six and four-piston calipers respectively.
Visually, the newest member of the Black Series clan gains a different front bumper with huge air intakes, bloated wheel arches, chunkier side sills and a redesigned rear bumper with quad exhausts.
Inside, the C63 AMG Black Series comes with a two-seat configuration, though Mercedes does offers a four-seat layout as an option. The car also gets red seat belts, a sport steering wheel covered in nappa leather and high-gloss black piano inserts on the dashboard along with the Black Series logo.
Mercedes-Benz offers two optional packages with self-explanatory names: the Track package, which features special Dunlop tires and a differential cooler, and the Aerodynamic package with carbonfibre aerodynamic aids on the front bumper and a carbonfibre rear spoiler.
Sales of the new C6 AMG Coupe Black Series are expected to commence in January, with a starting price in Germany of €115,430 ($165,722).
On a side note, Mercedes-Benz also announced that former McLaren-Mercedes F1 driver David Coulthard is the AMG divisions new ambassador. The 40-year old Scot will aid the AMG development team in testing and also take part in customer and press events starting with the campaign for the new, 557HP V8 biturbo E63 AMG.

New steering wheel design for the Audi Q7
Audi Q7 has included a new steering wheel – and two new steering wheels. The new steering wheel of the heavy weight corresponds to the current Audi design, as we already know from the new models A1, A6, A7, A8 and the A5 just revamped.

By fitting the model, the Ingolstadt company slowly but surely leave of trapezoidal wheel, the first time in 2004 was used in the A8 W12. In the future, the customer can choose between two different steering wheels are: a sport (see above) with a round impact absorber and three (actually 3 1 / 2) and spoke of something rather squashed-looking model with four spokes.

2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe has been unveiled in the metal at the Geneva Motor Show, looking identical to the facelifted C-Class sedan, except for two less doors, more steeply-raked A-pillars, a different grille and a lower ride height. The dash architecture is carried over from the sedan unchanged.

The all-new Mercedes coupe will be offered in five variants in Europe upon launch in June: the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 170 hp, 400 Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 204 hp, 500 Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 220 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 156 hp, 250 Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine; the C 250 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 204 hp, 310 Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine; and the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY with a 306 hp, 370 Nm 3.5-litre V6 engine.

The U.S. market will only get the C 250 BlueEFFICIENCY and the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY, while Malaysia is expected to get the former as the only C-Class Coupe variant, one tasked with stealing sales from the Audi A5 Coupe and the BMW 3-Series Coupe.

Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 scale IG-88 Scum & Villainy Figure PREVIEW

Much of the anti-droid sentiment existing in the galaxy is unwarranted bigotry, but even pro-droid activists will find it hard to defend the rights of droids bearing arms. The memory of droid armies is still fresh in many minds, and the legions of mechanized troops used by the Trade Federation and other corporate interests paved the way for legislation that eventually did away with the soulless infantry.

Relics from that era still exist, such as the battered chrome war droid known as IG-88. The tall, cylinder-headed and heavily-armed mechanical bounty hunter responded to Darth Vader's call to capture the Millennium Falcon during the events surrounding the Battle of Hoth.

The Sideshow Collectibles 1/6 scale IG-88 14.5-inch (368.3mm) Robot Figure features: Newly Developed and Fully Articulated IG-88 Assassin Droid with over 20+ points of articulation, Light up eyes feature, Fully functioning extendable legs, Sculpted shoulder bracer, Authentic and hand painted deco application with highly detailed weathering deco, Fabric Bandolier with magnetic attachment capabilities, One (1) Detailed BlasTech DLT-20A Blaster Rifle, One (1) Detailed BlasTech E11 Blaster Rifle, One (1) Sculpted E-11 Blaster bandolier holster, One (1) Sculpted shoulder bracer, Three (3) Mines, Two (2) Instrument pins, Deluxe Illuminated Display Base
