Asus assembles Republic of Gamers with G53 3D notebook




The Asus Republic of Gamers G53 3D notebook has landed, and it's a gaming monster.
Packing an Nvidia GTX 460M graphics card with a 1.5GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory, this machine employs DirectX11 graphics, with effects such as real time ray tracing, advanced tessellation and graphics can be displayed in high resolutions on the 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) display, with anti aliasing switched on.
It's packing Nvidia's 3D technology as well, the G53 brings 3D graphics to the eye at 120fps through the high fidelity 3D Vision active shutter glasses. There's an integrated Blu-ray RW drive as well.
This gaming notebook has a 1.73GHz Intel Core i7-740QM processor with 6MB Cache and Intel Turbo Boost up to 2.93GHz.
There's 8GB of DDR3 RAM on board, and storage is taken care of by a 640GB HDD.
Connectivity is via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI-out port with 3D support.
Priced at £1599, the G53 is available from a range of retailers including Selfridges, Micro Anvika, Scan Computers and Ebuyer.
