The Full HD video shooting Nikon D7000 has touched down and is ready to go toe to toe with the Canon 60D. It's packed with the updated EXPEED 2 camera processor, a 16.2-megapixel CMOS DX sensor and a blinding ISO extendable to 25600.
The 1080p video recording functionality on board (using MPEG4 AVC/H.264 compression) now works in hand with the tracking autofocus function as well as a port for an external stereo mic meaning that you can shoot top notch crystal clear movies with sound to match.
The D7000 comes with Nikon's brand new 39-point autofocus system, including 9 cross-type sensors in the centre, for sharp, fast pictures on the move, and there's also the introduction of a 2,016-pixel RGB meterting system for spot on exposure and accurate colour reproduction.
We'll give you the full skinny with our first look review but, for now, just enjoy this stunner in all its glory - and keep your eyes open for the twin SD card sockets, Virtual Horizon interface and introduction of some of that high end Nikon camera button positioning.
